“Conjugation” dress: I dance, you dance, he/she we dance… for dancing with your friends or alone in your bedroom. In case it’s been a while since your high-school French class, you can now conjugate “to dance” in the present tense- always the present tense. Hand-sewn fleece sways cheek to cheek with hand-painted and embroidered tulle mesh. This dress is blue like the wading end of a swimming pool and shimmers a little bit too, in the right light.Reworked in Chicago

Lily is an artist and illustrator living and working in Chicago. Through realism and accessible materials, she primarily utilizes the medium of drawing to explore and balance the ideas of sincerity and banality. Color blocking and detailed linework are the vehicle for her ideas. She gravitates towards sunny stoops, marbled rye toast, glass blocks, thrifted treasures, long shadows, found materials, prairie wildflowers, and dance music. You might see her on one of her daily long walks.
